Follow me on my journey creating the perfect beach hut style B&B
for a chilled out holiday by the sea
When I first visited this unassuming little chalet I was immediately taken by the location - being only a few minutes from the Kentish beach but an easy commute from London. The interior was tired and in need of a revamp but it presented so much potential.
The site closes in January and February so I couldn't get on-site to start work until March. But I could work on getting the word out. The sign designed for the exterior to help spread the word.
I wanted to create a really chilled out, beach feel for the chalet to bring the location into the interior. Full of inspiration for colours and staging, I started shopping, sourcing the furniture and soft furnishings needed to create my vision of a beach hut holiday space.
As this is a personal project I'm doing all the work myself - with a little assistance! Only a few weeks until the first customers will be in so better get my skates on!
Having created a style and design I was happy with on paper, I can't wait to get started on the creative transformation, but for the moment there's the basics to do, prepping surfaces and removing Anaglypta wallpaper! Watch this space for updates on the project or follow the journey on my facebook page.
Had fun sourcing these extra large lamp shades - but finally in place and looking good!
